A man and a woman have denied murdering a 63-year-old man who was last seen in Highbury in 2021.
Surie Suksiri, 31, of Earlsferry Way, Islington, and 47-year-old Juned Sheikh of Haywood Street, Camberwell, were charged last October following the disappearance of Frank McKeever.
Mr McKeever was last seen on August 28, 2021, in Highbury Park, close to the junction with Highbury Grange. His body has never been recovered.
On Wednesday (January 18) at a hearing at the Old Bailey, the defendants denied murdering Mr McKeever on or around August 28.
They also pleaded not guilty to preventing the “lawful decent burial of a body” on or around September 3, 2021.
The defendants face a four-week trial from October 2 and a further case management hearing on April 11.
They were remanded into custody.
