A second man has been charged with murder after a triple stabbing.

Jason Furtardo, 26, of Halton Road, Canonbury, was charged today (July 7) with two counts of murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is the second man charged by police and will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today.

Police were called to Elthorne Road in Archway to reports of a stabbing at around 11.30pm on June 29.

Leonardo Reid, 15, from Islington was found with stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight.

A man, 23, also suffering from stab wounds was rushed to a west London hospital where he later died.

A post-mortem examination gave a provisional cause of death for both victims as a stab wound to the chest.

A third victim, believed to be 28, was also found in the area with a stab wound.

He remains in a north London hospital and his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Abel Chunda, 27, of Highgate Hill, was also charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was arrested on Monday (June 3) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on July 5.

A 17-year-old male was also arrested on Monday and was bailed pending further enquiries.

A 46-year-old was arrested on Saturday afternoon (July 1) on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

He was taken to a north London police station and was subsequently released with no further action.
