A huge new 12-screen sports bar is set to open in Angel just in time for the Rugby World Cup.
Northwood will offer a "buzzing atmosphere" and "state of the art" experience for sports fans when it opens in Angel Central on Liverpool Road next month.
Located next door to crazy golf venue Birdie's, the 3,600 square foot bar is the latest in the stable of Maven Leisure who already run 13 pubs and restaurants in the capital, including sports bars Greenwood in Victoria, Redwood in London Bridge, and Westwood in Shepherd's Bush.
Their first venture in North London is a purpose-built pub and kitchen with top quality audio visual systems screening all major sporting fixtures from the Champions League and Premier League, to Formula 1, cricket, and darts.
Fans can book tables and areas to make sure they don't miss any of the live sports action, and there is also a large south facing outdoor terrace for drinkers to enjoy.
The menu will feature "sports bar classics with a fresh twist," with Neapolitan style pizza, burgers, small plates, loaded chilli waffle fries, and huge sharing platters like the Wingback 1kg of chicken wings, all prepared in house. The well stocked bar includes beers and cider on tap, classic cocktails, great wine and alcoholic and non alcoholic spirits.

Northwood opens in September in Angel Central with the official opening date announced later this month.
