East London's popular brunch spot The Good Egg is moving west with a new all day Middle-Eastern inspired diner in Camden.

The 70-cover restaurant opens in Stables Market on October 5 combining British produce with dishes from Tel Aviv's street food stalls, classic Jewish delis, grand old cafes, and the bagel bakeries of New York.

The Good Egg debuted on Stoke Newington's Church Street in 2015 when founders Joel Braham, Alex Coppard and Oded Mizrachi spotted a gap in London’s food scene for a style of Jewish deli and brunch culture popular in the Israeli city.

Under head chef Juliette O'Sullivan, it quickly became a neighbourhood hotspot known for its delicious babka, pastries, brunches and bagels.Islington Gazette: The first Good Egg opened in Stoke Newington Church Street in 2015 with a second in Margate earlier this yearThe first Good Egg opened in Stoke Newington Church Street in 2015 with a second in Margate earlier this year (Image: The Good Egg)

Another outlet opened in Margate this year and to celebrate their third there's a soft launch offer of 50 per cent off food from October 5-8.

At noon on Friday 2 they will be giving away 100 of their new hero dish Knafeh Ka'ak. The sweet savoury street food snack is a Middle Eastern favourite of crisp kataifi pastry steeped in thyme and orange syrup, and copious amounts of gooey cheese, in a sesame coated ‘ka’ak’ or bagel. Although there are versions everywhere from Israel to Lebanon, it's not thought to be currently found in the UK.

Head Pastry Chef and co founder Oded Mizrachi said: "We are incredibly excited to bring The Good Egg to Camden. Like the other restaurants, Camden will offer a fun, relaxed service and a menu full of bright, bold and colourful sharing-style dishes, inspired by our heritage, our travels and our upbringing."Islington Gazette: Dishes at The Good Egg range from brunch options to filled pita and bagels to Middle Eastern lamb and chicken dishesDishes at The Good Egg range from brunch options to filled pita and bagels to Middle Eastern lamb and chicken dishes (Image: Safia Shakarchi for The Good Egg)

The menu moves smoothly from day to night with customer brunch favourites including The Good Egg shakshuka; baked eggs with preserved lemon yoghurt, babka French Toast with blackberry and honeycomb, and the arayes - mushroom and harissa stuffed corners of pita seared to perfection.

There are also fresh pitas and bagels filled with salt beef and smoked cheddar,  or their take on a bacon bap, the egg, bacon, and date pita with citrusy amba. The Good Egg staple Sabih features fried aubergine, fudgy eggs and zhoug.

There's also a selection of mezze, lamb shawarma, zaatar fried chicken and a range of dips, salads and seasonal house pickles. The cocktail offering includes sour cherry and campari soda, and a harissa bloody mary alongside house sodas like the minty refreshing Limonana.

With both dine-in and take-away options The Good Egg will open from 10am to 10pm with 30 seats on the outdoor terrace.
