A supermarket is hosting a pop-up spa for shoppers to book health treatments while enjoying meals from its new “health menu” ready meal range.

The pop-up spa is being run by Asda in Angel for three days from January 23, with shoppers booking sessions online and all proceeds going to Tickled Pink breast cancer charity.

Treatments include ‘muscle health’ to relieve aches with a tissue massage, ‘bone health’ hot stone therapy to reduce stiffness and ‘energy boost’ Indian head massage.

“Looking after your health doesn’t have to be unattainable,” Asda’s strategy manager Regan Howard insists. “The ‘healthy food’ range helps with options without a hefty price tag.”

The spa is being used to promote the company’s range of 45 new products "that don’t break the bank”, following a survey with shoppers saying nutritious meals are too expensive and add £59 to their monthly food bill.

Dishes on offer with the spa treatment include multi-seed berry and nut granola and chickpea and spinach soup to improve iron levels.

The spa runs from January 23 to 25 at 104 Islington High Street. Tickets cost from £2.25 to £4.75 and can be booked at the “evenbrite” website at https://eventbrite.com/e/asda-health-menu-spa-tickets-789442783617
