Take-away fans have until Sunday to vote for their favourite Deliveroo orders and bag themselves a chance of £500 on their account.

The online food delivery company is celebrating the restaurants that have tantalised customers' tastebuds over the last year.

Running across 10 categories, from burgers to Chinese, to Indian food, they have shortlisted "local cuisine superstars" in all corners of the UK.

The closing date to vote is Sunday January 21 and the winners of the Deliveroo Restaurant awards will be revealed on February 15.

Shortlisted culinary champions in the category for Chinese restaurants and take-aways includes Uli which has branches in Notting Hill and Marylebone, and Three Uncles which has an outlet in the food hall at Hawley Wharf in Camden Lock.

Up for best pizza joint are feted Neapolitan specialists Santa Maria in Upper Street, Islington, while Eggslut the gourmet food concept based around eggs, which has branches in Shoreditch and Stratford, is on the shortlist for best cafe.

Fighting it out for best Japanese restaurant is Taro in Finchley Central, and Maguro in Lanark Place, Maida Vale.

For chicken there's the ever reliable White House Express in Brent Street, Hendon, and mouthwatering fried chicken specialists Coqfighter which has branches in Shoreditch Boxpark, Caledonian Road King's Cross, and Finsbury Park.

Up for best Indian is Biryani Guys which has branches in Old Street and Ilford. 

And among the best burgers is Nanny Bill's creators of "banging" hand-pressed burgers and croquettes, which has an outlet at Boxpark Wembley.

For poke there's Poke Zone in Muswell Hill and for the best sushi the shortlist includes Tanakatsu in Old Street and Kiyoto Sushi in West Hampstead.

Meanwhile in the category for best independent restaurant is Bocca Bocca pasta restaurant in Leytonstone.
