In an update, TfL confirmed the station closed to prevent overcrowding and it reopened roughly 15 minutes after it shut, and is now operating normally.
Another tube station has closed this morning, as emergency services respond to a fire alert at Tufnell Park.
The Northern line has been suspended between Camden Town and High Barnet due to the alert which is causing severe delays.
