A 61-year-old man threatened to fetch his gun while arguing with a shopkeeper in King’s Cross Road on Sunday, it is claimed.

Cops were called at about 2.15pm to reports of an altercation inside the shop.

A Met spokesperson said: “Officers attended and spoke to the shopkeeper who alleged a man made threats to return with a firearm.
“A 61-year-old man was later arrested at his home on suspicion of possessing a firearm.”

But the weapon found at the scene was later confirmed as a legal air weapon and no further action will be taken.

The man was given cautioned for a public order offence.
