A 91-year-old woman has died following a collision with a black cab.
Renee Peett, who lived in Petherton Road, Highbury, died in hospital two days after the accident, which happened on Waterloo Bridge, Waterloo, at about 5.30pm on October 3.
Police issued an appeal for witnesses this week. Det Con Andrew Johnson, of the Metropolitan Police’s road death investigation unit, said: “I would like to thank the people that stopped to assist Ms Peett, but as the collision occurred on a busy London road at peak times, I would be grateful for any further witnesses to come forward.”
A post-mortem gave the cause of death as multiple injuries. The 53-year-old taxi driver was arrested for careless driving and has been bailed to return to police in January.
Witnesses are asked to call police on (020) 8941 9011.
