Central Foundation Boys School (CFBS) was celebrating having 62 per cent of its exams graded A* to B today, placing it in the top 15% of A-level providers in the country.

Students will now go on to study at a range of top universities, from Manchester to UCL.

The school also praised its students for performing well in the more traditional subjects, with 75 per cent of maths grades in the A* to B range.

“We are delighted with the results our students have achieved and the large number of high quality university places and work placements that they have secured,” said headteacher Jamie Brownhill.

“The students are to be congratulated on their efforts alongside the dedicated work of their teachers. We see the fruits of the work between the students, the school and our partners in providing high quality teaching, pastoral support and guidance to all of our students to ensure that they fulfil their potential.”
