A theatre school that has nurtured some of Britain’s favourite TV stars celebrated its 46th birthday last week.
Anna Scher has taught the likes of Kathy Burke, Pauline Quirke and Phil Daniels since opening her Islington drama school in 1968.
It’s been a landmark year for the theatre as Mrs Scher received an MBE from the Queen in October for her services to drama.
She celebrated with current students at a small party at Saint Silas Church Pentonville, Penton Street on Friday.
“After 46 years every day is still special,” said Mrs Scher.
