Arsenal swept to an emotional victory in Arsene Wenger’s final match in charge at the Emirates as Gunners boss.

On a gloriously sunny afternoon in North London Wenger’s men eased past Sean Dyche’s Turf Moor outfit.

After Wenger had been given a guard of honour by both sets of players before the start, in front of a sold out crowd of 59,540 – looking resplendent in their Merci Arsene red t-shirts the home team were worthy winners.

A brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang along with Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac and Alex Iwobi sealed the points on a day of high emotion at Arsenal.

Aubameyang’s opening goal came on 14 minutes after Iwobi played the ball to Lacazette, who fired across goal for the former BOrussia Dortmund forward to slot home after incisive work down the right flank from Hector Bellerin.

The Lacazette doubled the lead deep into first half stoppage time by slotting home after a Bellerin cross as referee Andre Marriner blew for the interval moments later.

Kolasinac made it 3-0 on 54 minutes after firing the ball left-footed, low past Nick Pope in the Clarets goal after a driving run from Jack Wilshere before Iwobi made it four ten minutes later.

Aubameyang then made it five with 15 minutes remaining as the crowd stood to hail Wenger on a memorable day for the North London giants.
