Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to keep winger Ryo Miyaichi at the Emirates this season and is hopeful the Japanese player will be granted a work permit.
The 18-year-old spent the second half of last season at Dutch side Feyenoord is a bid to help his application for a permit after joining Arsenal in January.
Miyaichi returned to the Gunners, spending pre-season with the north London club and has impressed Wenger enough for the Frenchman to want him to stay at the Emirates for the upcoming campaign.
“My plan is to get a work permit for him and to put him on the pitch for Arsenal Football Club,” he said.
