Unai Emery has been speaking after Arsenal’s late 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at the Emirates. Read on for what he said about matchwinner Lucas Torreira as the Gunners made it 21 games unbeaten.
Lucas Torreira’s superb 83rd minute winner clinched the three points to extend Arsenal’s unbeaten run to 21 games.
Just as it seemed David Wagner’s Terriers would frustrate the home side Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s persistence on the byline saw the ball flew into the box where the former Sampdoria star performed a spectacular overhead kick to beat visiting keeper Jonas Lossl to hand the home side the points.
Speaking after the match Emery said: “Last week he scored and today also. He has quality.
“His interpretation on the pitch, tactically, in attacking moments and defensive, he’s very fast in his mind and his feet.
“He’s improving, he works every day with big commitment and good behaviour. He has the commitment every day to learn English for our meeting every day in the dressing room.
“That’s the first step: the commitment and behaviour. Then he has quality and hunger.”
