Arsenal fans with a guilty penchant for cycling will be delighted with the launch of a one-off boris bike decked out in Arsenal colours.
The bike was presented by club legend Martin Keown at the Barclays Bank branch in Holloway Road, Upper Holloway, where it can be viewed by fans.
“I think Barclays bikes are a great idea, I’m a big cycling fan myself, and my knees aren’t what they were so running isn’t ideal. I think it’s a great way to get around, especially in London, it’s only one pound a day so rather then going on the tube, get on a bike!
“There are 8,000 of these bikes all over London but this is the only one that’s got Arsenal on it” said Keown.
Asked if he would consider cycling the Arsenal bike past his arch-rivals at White Hart Lane, the star replied “probably not, no, I wouldn’t cycle up there on any bike.”
