A limited edition book featuring facts and pictures from Arsenal’s 1930/31 championship winning season is expected to fetch up to 800 at auction next month.
The collectors item also features match reports from every game of that season, and from the FA cup winning campaign from the year before.
Gary Arkell, consultant for sport at Special Auction Services Newbury, who are selling the book, said: “It really is a wonderful piece of history. It is number 16 of only 32 copies to be made, so I suspect they were only given to players and directors.
“There are some lovely pictures, the players meeting the king before the final and the celebrations outside Islington Town Hall.
“The only problem is the front cover is missing, but all the pages are there. Arsenal are a well supported club in collecting terms, so it may well fetch more than the estimate.”
