A well-known Kings Cross stage school, where Eastenders’ Jessie Wallace studied, was decimated by fire in the early hours of this morning (June 22).
Four fire engines and 20 firemen rushed to the Poor School, in Pentonville Road, at around 2.20am as flames ripped through the building.
Teams from the Clerkenwell, Islington and Kentish Town fire stations at the blaze under control by 3.40, but around a quarter of the ground floor was damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
