A Clerkenwell consultancy firm is aiming to raise £10,000 to support the British Heart Foundation.

Curtins has chosen the BHF as its charity of the year and staff will take part in a range of activities to raise the cash.

Heart and circulatory disease kills almost 160,000 people in the UK each year. The money will help BHF researchers identify revolutionary new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the conditions.

Curtins chief exec Rob Melling said: “The BHF is leading the fight against heart disease and we are very pleased to be supporting the charity’s vital work.”

BHF’s fundraising chief Hayley Gough added: “We urgently need more funds to help end the devastation heart disease leaves behind and save lives, which is why we’re absolutely thrilled to have been chosen by Curtins. Every pound raised will help to make a difference to the millions living with the terrible burden of heart and circulatory disease.”
