A Broadchurch actor described as a “dangerous sexual predator” who targeted vulnerable women has been jailed for eight years.

Nyakeh Kpaka, better known by Nakay Kpaka, sexually assaulted two different women while they slept at house parties, one of which was in Finsbury Park.

The 26-year-old was arrested last year after a woman woke up to find him assaulting her at a party in south London. During the investigation, the second victim came forward saying she had also been sexually assaulted by him.

Kpaka, who according to his IMDB page appeared in two episodes of the ITV show and also had a small part in drama Whitechapel, was charged with three counts of sexual assault by penetration in February.

Two counts related to the 2015 attack and the other for the assault in Finsbury Park.

He was jailed today at Woolwich Crown Court. He had been found guilty of three counts of sexual assault by penetration last week. Kpaka, of Wood Green, argued one of the attacks was consensual and denied the other took place.

Investigating officer Det Con Peter Thompson said: “Kpaka is a dangerous sexual predator who has attacked vulnerable lone women whilst they were sleeping in bed at two different house parties.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank those present at the parties who came to the assistance of the victims and the victims themselves who showed a great degree of courage to report these offences and give evidence against Kpaka.”

Detective Inspector Faye Churchyard, said: “This is a very positive result for both victims and their families and all those witnesses who came forward. I would use this opportunity to appeal for any further victims to come forward and report to police.”
