I have just received the new Islington Council parking charges and my car band has gone from �85 to �147 for 12 months parking. This is an increase of �62 or 73 per cent on the previous year. How can Islington Council justify nearly �150 for parking on a road?
I guess that car drivers are cash cows that are easily preyed upon by unsrupulous councils. Surely the people of Isington can start some direct action to stop this absurd increase? – Mark Ansell, via e-mail.
