Three men have been charged with theft after a hatchback crashed into barriers outside a Finsbury Park pub in the early hours of the morning.
The silver VW Polo hit barriers outside The Blackstock on the corner of Seven Sisters Road and Blackstock Road with such force it shook residents’ beds nearby. The car was being pursued by police when it crashed at 3.30am on Tuesday.
Renele Corbett-Long, 19, of Prince George Road, Stoke Newington, Michael Byfield, 20, of Bath Street, Finsbury, and Ersan Alirizan, 18, of Mildmay Park, Newington Green, were due before Highbury Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday) charged with aggravated theft, and the latter pair also with allowing to be carried in a stolen vehicle.
