An Archway man has been charged with attempted murder following an attack on a Holloway Road shopkeeper.

The 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident which happened at a shop in Archway at about 8.50pm on Tuesday.

He is also charged with assault with intent to rob and harassment related to an incident that took place at a shop in Greenland Road, Camden at 7.15pm the same evening.

He was due to appear before magistrates at Highbury Corner today.
