DETECTIVES have released an e-fit image of a sex pest who tried to kiss a woman after following her home.

The suspect stalked the 23-year-old victim after she went shopping in Rock Street, Finsbury Park. When she got to Prah Road, the man said: “I want your number - I want you.”

He tried to kiss the woman outside a house – but she escaped inside locking the door.

Detective Constable Darren Rose, who is investigating this case, said: “This was an extremely upsetting incident for the victim who fortunately managed to escape. We want to hear from anyone who recognises this image or who witnessed this incident which occurred on January 21 between 5.20pm and 5.40pm.”

The man, who had a Greek or Italian accent, is described as olive skinned, with brown eyes and short black hair and in his late 20s.

He is wanted for questioning by police in connection with the attempted sexual assault.

Anyone with information should contact Islington CID on 020 7421 091 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
