A nightclub where police discovered half a kilo of cocaine has been stripped of its licence.

Arda 2, in Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park, was ordered to cease trading after police found £25,000 worth of the class A drug on the premises during a raid last year.

The owners were summoned to appear before an Islington Council licensing committee on Tuesday night after what police say has been a string of serious crimes at the venue.

Other offences reported in and around the nightspot include a stabbing, a beating with an iron bar and police intelligence linking the venue to guns, gangs and
prostitution.
