Two men from Islington have appeared in court this morning charged with the murder of martial arts expert Jordan Bari.

Abdallah Salaheedin, 28, of Spring Gardens, Highbury, and Bobby Lawrence, 21, of Canonbury Street, Canonbury, stood before the Old Bailey charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Both were remanded in custody to return and enter a plea on January 10.

Jordan, 20, was killed by a single bullet to the stomach on October 3 as he answered the door at a flat.

The black-belt Tang Soo Do fighter from Stratford died at the scene in Florida Street at about 8.45pm – 45 minutes after being shot.
