Man released after Highbury Quadrant ‘firearm’ incident

A man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences in Highbury in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called at 12.22am to Highbury Quadrant after reports of a man in possession of a firearm.

Officers, including firearms officers, attended. The man, in his 40s, was arrested nearby.

He has since been released, pending a police investigation. No firearm was recovered and enquiries continue.
