The 23-year-old was seriously injured after the incident in Amwell Street at around 5.30pm. He sustained two puncture wounds to his back and was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious, but non-life threatening condition.

On Monday, Juliean Ballantyne, 18, of Packington Square, Islington, appeared in court charged with aggravated burglary, GBH with intent and witness intimidation in relation to the incident. He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

Detectives still want to speak to anyone who may have seen anything on Friday night.
