POLICE raided a garage in Islington and discovered a huge haul of 20 cannabis plants with a street value of £7,000.

Officers seized the drugs from a property in Colebrooke Row, Islington, last Thursday – after obtaining a search warrant for the raid from Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and was taken to Islington police station.

Sergeant Christopher Scammell, of the Safer Neighbourhoods Taskforce, said: “Our officers are committed to making Islington safer by tackling serious crime, including drugs cultivation and dealing. If you have any information or suspicions about illegal activity in your area, contact the police because we will investigate these concerns.”
