Police seize firearms in Finsbury

Two suspected firearms have been seized by police from a flat in Finsbury.

Officers from the Clerkenwell Safer Neighbourhoods Team found the weapons at a property in Spencer Street on the Earlstroke Estate at around 11am. The unit had been “carrying out general enquiries”, according to a police spokeswoman.

A specialist firearms team attended and removed the weapons for further analysis.
