Police have launched an appeal after robbers assaulted a man and stole his gold chain.

The 43-year-old victim had been to the Enkel Arms pub in Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park, and was walking along Salterton Road when he was approached by a group of men who attacked him and pulled the item of jewellery from around his neck.

The suspects, who ran off after the robbery which happened on Sunday, September 22, between 9pm and midnight, are described as white men with an age range of 25 and 45.

The victim believes the robbers may have been drinking in the Enkel Arms shortly before the incident.

Pc Tom Hall from Islington Police said: “I would like to hear from anyone with information into this incident. If anyone has any information they are asked to call Islington CID on 101 alternatively, to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
