A Stoke Newington man has been charged with stabbing a 40-year-old in an Essex village.

Donald Adu, 24, of Howard Road, is accused of wounding with intent to cause GBH. He was set to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today.

The victim was stabbed multiple times during the attack in Marks Tey on Halloween night. He is still in hospital.

A 15-year-old boy from Colchester has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

And a 20-year-old woman from Islington was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released under investigation.
