A driver sped off from police before crashing into another car in Fonthill Road, Finsbury Park, late last night.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking and driving away, as well as possession of a set of knuckle dusters.

Police were patrolling in Seven Sisters Road when they saw a car go through a red light. They followed and signalled for the driver to pull over but he instead drove off and gave them the slip.

Officers found the car at 12.30am after it had crashed into another vehicle. Both drivers were unharmed but the road was taped off while they investigated.

The teen was this morning in custody.
