Mohamed Abdullahi was stabbed to death in Holloway

Two possible witnesses to the fatal stabbing of a young man in the middle of a Holloway street are being sought by police.

The men, one riding a bike and the other on foot, were in York Way at about the time 20-year-old Mohamed Abdullahi was knifed to death in the early hours of June 29 in what is thought to have been a gang-related attack.

Shocked onlookers said the victim had been eating at Aspendos Bar and Grill before nipping out for some fresh air.

He was then thought to be stabbed outside the restaurant when at least two people confronted him – his friends ran outside to find him on the ground covered in blood.

They watched as paramedics tried to revive him in the street before taking him by stretcher into the back of an ambulance.

A post-mortem found he died from multiple stab wounds.

Mohamed’s father, Aydaius, said at the time of his death: “We are heartbroken that this could happen, just like any other parents would be.

“We are also looking for justice. It’s very sad and tragic but the truth will come out. I hope those who have done this will be brought to justice.

“You see these kind of crimes on the TV but you just never think it would happen to your own son.

“There is a problem with this kind of thing. Too many young people are walking around with knives.”

Three men have been charged with murder and have been remanded in custody. Police have released images of potential witnesses they want to talk to and asked them to call the incident room on 020 8358 0200.
