A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a cat in Highbury last month.
A large Siberian Forest Ginger cat, called Mr Muk, was stolen in Petherton Road at 8.30pm on August 1.
At 11.50pm on Tuesday, a 22-year-old man was arrested by Met Police officers at an address in West Hampstead on suspicion of theft.
They had issued a formal appeal for information and witnesses on September 10.
He has been taken into custody at a north London police station.
In the appeal, Mr Muk was described as microchipped, neutered male, with ‘a weird lip’ caused by a missing tooth on the upper right side of his mouth.
The filched feline has now been reunited with his delighted owner, Izabela Minch.
