A man from Holloway who sunk his teeth into a policeman’s arm and attacked a second officer while violently resisting arrest has walked free from court.
Charles Akanu-Otu, 26, of Westbourne Road, lashed out at the officers after they were called to reports of two men harassing passersby in Harlesden last May.
When they approached Akanu-Otu he became hostile and aggressive before biting the officer and grabbing his colleague’s wrist which caused bruising.
Last week at Willesden Magistrates Court, he was found guilty on two counts of assaulting a constable and fined a total of £400, ordered to pay his victims £150 in compensation and £600 cost
