A teenage boy was left in hospital after being repeatedly stabbed in an Barnsbury Park on Saturday (June 18).

The 16-year-old was in Barnard Park, in Charlotte Terrace, at around 10.30pm , when a group of boys attacked him. He was chased towards the entrance of the park, where he was later found with stab wounds to his armpit, leg and back.

He was taken to hospital, but his injuries were non life-threatening or life-changing and he was later released.

The suspects ran off towards Richmond Avenue.

Jana Koubova, manager of The Albion in nearby Thornhill Road, said: “I thought this was a safe area, a lot of our staff walk home late at night. I think will be getting a cab back from now on.”
