A youth worker shipped in Diazepam from overseas to run a drug-dealing operation from her home in Finsbury Park.
Bags of ketamine, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis and nitrous oxide canisters were found by police at Michelle O’Sullivan’s home in Myddleton Avenue near Clissold Park, as well as “deal list” detailing quantities ordered.
Border Force officers suspected something was up when they intercepted a package at Coventry Airport in May containing 400 Diazepam and Alprazolam tablets which had been sent from India and addressed to O’Sullivan in central London.
The 28-year-old who led a project to engage young people in gangs pleaded guilty to importing a class C drug, possession of class A, B and C drugs, and offering to supply class A and B drugs at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
She was handed a two-year suspended sentence, 300 hours unpaid work and a three-month curfew at Blackfriars Crown Court today.
Det Const Mark Riding said: “O’Sullivan had a fully functioning drugs importation and sale operation running from her home address, and officers unearthed evidence of a wide network of customers placing orders for Class A drugs.
“Her actions are made all the more shocking by the work she did with disengaged youth, and her being something of a role model.”
Scotland Yard said there is no evidence that she provided drugs to the young people she worked with.
