A 42-year-old Archway man has denied trying to murder Darren Harrison, who was repeatedly stabbed in his Upper Holloway home last month.

Terry Jobber, of St John’s Way, Archway, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder at the Old Bailey yesterday and a trial date has been set for June 18.

Darren, who is blind, has lost all feeling in the right side of his body after the attack on the afternoon of January 26. He is currently in the Whittington Hospital but is scheduled to be moved to Stoke Mandeville, which has one of the largest specialist spinal units in the world.

The 50-year-old had been left for dead in his Alexander Road home before a neighbour called police.

A fundraiser has been set up to support his recovery and an event is being held at his local, The Corner Flag, on Saturday to raise money.
