A CANADIAN man has admitted to burglary, criminal damage and assaulting a police officer in a trendy Islington street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Abdul Aden, 26, kicked down the door of one flat in Almeida Street, off Upper Street, before stealing items inside and smashing the windows of another nearby.
When police arrived at about 4.30am, the frenzied foreign national was shouting and screaming in the garden, and needed to be restrained with the use of a police dog before he was arrested.
He pleaded guilty to all three charges at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Monday, and was remanded in custody until sentencing at Blackfriars Crown Court. No date has yet been set for sentencing.
