A CURRY house diner was smashed over the head with a bottle after he asked a rowdy group on another table to keep the noise down.
The 44-year-old victim was enjoying a meal with friends at Parveen Tandoori restaurant, in Theberton Street, Islington, at 10.10pm on Saturday night when he got annoyed with the people eating at the next table. The rowdy group was thrown out of the restaurant, but one man returned, grabbed a bottle from the victim’s table and hit him over the head.
The victim was taken by ambulance to University College Hospital in Euston having sustained a large cut to his head. He required sixteen stitches.
