An Islington couple appeared in court today after being extradited from the Netherlands over a charge of attempted murder in 2013.
Patrick “Patsy” Adams, 57, and his wife Constance Adams, 53, were charged in October last year with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The arrests followed the shooting of motorist Paul Tiernan at the junction of St John’s Street and Wycliff Street, Clerkenwell, on December 22, 2013.
The pair, of Harold Laski House, Percival Street, Finsbury, today appeared at Woolwich Crown Court for a brief hearing.
No pleas were entered and they were remanded in custody. The case was adjourned until February 12.
