A man has been charged with possessing an imitation firearm after a huge police incident in the shadow of Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.
Queenland Road in Holloway was shut off at about 6pm on Friday after police received reports of a man armed with a firearm.
One bystander said over 100 homeowners and tenants were cut off from their flats as police dealt with the incident.
A Met spokesman this afternoon said 20-year-old Asani Jackson, of Queensland Road, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm, affray, and assault by beating. He was due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today.
