Man in court over �20,000 Finsbury violin theft allegations

A man has appeared in court accused of stealing a violin and bows worth �20,000.

Olalekan Egungbohun, 41, is alleged to have taken the items belonging to a musician from Finsbury Park railway station on June 6.

Mr Egungbohun, of Broadway, Letchworth Garden City, Herts, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court last week.

He did not enter a plea and the case was adjourned until August.

He was granted unconditional bail.
