Detectives are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted at Highbury & Islington station.
At about 6.45pm on November 2, the 27-year-old woman was walking up a staircase from a Victoria line platform. At the top of the staircase, a man then approached and touched her “inappropriately”.
Investigating officer PC George James, of British Transport Police, said: “This was a brazen assault that happened on a busy staircase. We will simply never tolerate unwanted sexual behaviour and we are working hard to trace the person responsible.
“I am keen to speak with the man in the CCTV images as I believe he has vital information that could help our enquiries.”
Anyone with information can contact British Transport Police by sending a text to 61016 or calling 0800 405040, quoting reference 162 of November 18. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
