Police were yesterday called to break up yet another brawl in the heart of Islington – thought to involve City and Islington College students.

A Met spokesman confirmed officers attended the college’s Goswell Road campus after reports of young people fighting just before 3pm. There were no arrests or injuries. A college spokeswoman said it was unaware of the incident.

It is the third known incident in the space of eight days. One punch-up reportedly happened at the top of Goswell Road last Tuesday, with a second in Upper Street and Duncan Street last Wednesday.

On Friday, the Gazette released shocking footage (above) of the second incident when about 20 young people – mainly girls – brawled in the middle of the Upper Street road, holding up traffic.

The incidents are thought to all involve students from the Goswell Road campus. The college is currently investigating and promised “appropriate action” for any found to have been fighting.
