A police officer accused of assault by beating at Islington police station is set to stand trial in August.
Pc Rohan Scarlett, 46, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court this morning and has been remanded on unconditional bail to stand trial at the same court on August 20.
The Lewisham-based officer, who has been suspended, is accused of committing the offence on February 20 this year, said Scotland Yard.
The alleged incident took place in the rear yard of Islington Police station.
