A PENSIONER has admitted exposing himself to a child in the toy department of Islington’s biggest shop.
Bele Verbely, 77, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court last Wednesday charged with exposure at Selbys, in Holloway Road, Holloway.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and was remanded in custody to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court for sentencing at a date to be confirmed.
Verbely, of Muswell Hill, was arrested inside the store last Tuesday after shop staff called police.
Earlier this month the Gazette reported that police were stepping up patrols at Selbys amid fears the store’s toilets was becoming a magnet for men looking for sex.
