The second Pentonville Prison escapee was arrested by police in Hackney yesterday.
James Whitlock, 31, was arrested at a property in Shepherds Lane, near Homerton Hospital, at about 4.30pm.
Whitlock, who was on remand for alleged burglary offences, escaped from the Caledonian Road prison with attempted murderer Matthew Baker – his cell mate – on Monday. Baker was arrested on Thursday after being found in Ilford. He is currently in hospital with a leg injury.
A 48-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were also arrested yesterday, on suspicion of assisting Whitlock.
