Police appeal after man stabbed in Highbury park at weekend

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in a Highbury park yesterday (Sunday).
Officers were called to Gillespie Park, off Gillespie Road, shortly before 5pm and found the victim with stab wounds to his torso and thigh.
His injuries were not life threatening, police said, and he we was taken to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
Islington CID are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 020 7421 0162 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No description of any suspects has been given.
