Police have released a CCTV appeal in connection with a sexual assault in an Islington flat block.

Footage shows a man, who was wearing an Arsenal shirt, following his female victim into the building.

He is then said to have got in the lift with her, before making sexual comments and touching her leg.

The woman got out of the lift when it arrived at her floor and went into her flat. She did not know where the suspect went at this point.

The incident happened at about midnight in Mildmay Avenue on October 21 last year.

The suspect is described as black, aged in his early 20s, of slim to medium build and 5’5” in height.

He was wearing a red Arsenal shirt, blue jeans, a green baseball cap, black shoes and a multi-coloured jacket.

The Met has asked anyone who can identify the man to call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
